Lord in heaven, grant us peace of mind, heart and spirit throughout this new year.
Grant us the will and the means to embrace those who suffer immensely overseas because of natural disasters or armed conflict.
Show us how to be champions of peace and social justice on behalf of the war-weary and voiceless.
